Drive by shooting startles local residents

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Late last night at around 12:50 am, approximately 5 shots were fired at a residents house in the 9000 block of 76 Street, Fort St John.

The resident, in an interview with Energeticcity.ca, who wished not to be named, says he was sleeping in the back of his house when the shots rang out. Someone was sleeping in the front of the house and a bullet went through the window. They said the next morning they also found another bullet that had gone through a wall, and then into a dresser. The resident is hoping anyone with information will come forward to police.

Police believe the suspects fled in a vehicle. Luckily there were no injuries. The residents are not known to police.

RCMP believe this shooting may be related to a report of a firearm discharge on the 255 Road just off the Alaska Highway in Baldonnel. Police say this incident occurred at 12:30 am and multiple shots were fired. Police believe no one was injured, and no damage occurred in this incident.
