HUDSON’S HOPE, B.C. – The Hudson’s Hope RCMP are continuing their investigation into what caused a serious single vehicle crash on the Farrell Creek Rd. over a week ago.

On Sunday August 14th, at approximately 10:05 p.m., the Hudson’s Hope RCMP received a report of a collision on the Farrell Creek Road. Upon arrival, police investigators determined that a single southbound vehicle had struck a power pole and went off the road. BC Hydro crews were called out to fix the pole which was broken in the crash, as well as wires that were also brought down.

Two Fort St. John, the 37 year-old driver and his 46 year-old passenger, both received serious but non life-threatening injuries and were transported to the Fort St. John Hospital. Their names have not been released.

An RCMP Police Service Dog team was called out to search the area to ensure there were no other occupants unaccounted for, and found none.

While the RCMP Traffic Services investigation is ongoing, investigators believe that alcohol was a contributing factor.
