FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John is going ahead with the paving of 91st ave after several other projects came in under budget over the last year.
The City will pave 91st ave between 75th street to the lane west of 78A street. The cost will be $1,400,000.
Included in the project and the costs will be sidewalk, streetlight, storm sewer, curb and gutter, base reconstruction, and an 11 meter wide asphalt surface.
91st avenue is also a bus route, and it is the only part of the bus route on 91st that is still gravel.
Projects that came in under budget included:
- 2016 Major Storm -$740,000
- 85 Ave (79 St – East Bypass Road) -$2,200,000
- 2016 LAS (75 St) -$580,000
The total under budget amount was: -$3,570,000
