FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fivestar MMA and Crossfit gym in Fort St. John is going to be putting on a martial arts Summer Camp for kids aged six and up next week.
The camp will be running August 22nd to 26th at the gym on Alaska Road from 9:00 a.m. to noon every day. Gym owner Justin Donally says that the gym is a fantastic opportunity for returning martial arts students to brush up on their skills and get pointers as they train towards obtaining their next belt. Donally says that the camp is also open to kids who want to try martial arts such as Boxing, Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Wrestling, and Taekwondo. In addition, the camp also teaches kids other self-defense techniques.
The cost for existing gym members is $200 for the whole week. New members pay $250, which covers the cost of a martial arts uniform. To sign up, stop by the Fivestar MMA and Crossfit gym on Alaska Road, or message the gym via their Facebook page.
