CALGARY, A.B. – Hudson’s Hope’s Jake Watson managed to not get bucked off, but faced a very tough field in the semifinals of the Calgary Stampede Rodeo on Sunday afternoon.

The Peace Region native managed to ride Urgent Delivery for the full eight seconds, and ended up posting a score of 81.00, a feat that was equalled by Heflin, Louisiana rider Heith DeMoss. Despite the score, Watson managed only a Top-10 performance, placing 9th in the Saddle Bronc, which was won by Zeke Thurston from Big Valley, Alberta after he rode Spring Planting to an 89.50.
