Mary Brown’s Chicken fire under investigation

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – A fire that broke out at Mary Brown’s Chicken in the Totem Mall area over the weekend is under investigation.

On Sunday morning at about 3:20 am, firefighters responded to a call of alarms ringing. Units responded to the call and saw a small haze and smoke in the area and then arrived at Mary Brown’s Chicken.

Firefighters made entry and found sprinklers had contained the fire. Firefighters were able to contain the rest of the fire without problems.

Fred Burrows with the fire department says the cause of the fire is still under investigation and no other details will be released at this time.
