FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Festival of India is officially here in Fort St. John today until 7:00 p.m.

Among the festivities are a henna station, a kids area, free vegetarian snacks including fruit, singers, dancers, and a whole lot more.

The event is taking place on the grassy area across from the North Peace Cultural Centre at the corner of 100th Avenue and 100th Street.

They are celebrating many different cultures and religions from India, including: Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Sikh, to name a few.

The event will also feature cauliflower pakoras, and a demonstration of paka yoga and demonstrations of traditional Indian mantras.
