DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The BC Coroners Service has released the name of a man who died in a motorcycle accident in Dawson Creek on July 20th.

He has been identified as 54 year-0ld Daniel Dutrisac of Timmins, Ontario.

Dutrisac was the driver of an eastbound motorcycle that collided with a turning transport truck on the Alaska Highway at 15th Street in Dawson Creek in the early afternoon of July 20. He was taken to Dawson Creek Hospital but died shortly after arriving.

The family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are continuing to investigate his death.
