FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Ministry of Transportation says they are working as fast as they can to fix highway 97 south from Prince George to Chetwynd.
The road remains closed due to a washout after last week’s flooding.
Earlier this week, Transportation Minister Todd Stone said they hoped to have the highway opened to single-lane alternating traffic by the end of this week.
When the Ministry was reached today, they still have no specific day for when the road will open but assured crews are working day and night to fix the highway and have it open to traffic as soon as it is safe to do so.
They also reiterated for the latest updates to check DriveBC.ca and TransBC.ca.
