Search and Rescue crews working to rescue injured hiker

PINE PASS, B.C. – Search and Rescue crews from Tumbler Ridge are assisting Nechako Valley, Prince George and MacKenzie Search and Rescue after being called to help rescue an injured hiker near Powder King.

According to 250News in Prince George, crews have been working through the night Friday to rescue a female hiker that had suffered a leg injury in steep terrain.  The hiker is part of a five member hiking party.

At this time limited information is known about the extent of the injuries and where the hikers are from.  We will update this story as more information becomes available.
