FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The City of Fort St. John is opening the doors of the Pomeroy Sports Centre on Saturday.
The city will be offering free admission for all of their drop-in activities beginning at 11:00 A.M., going until 6:00 P.M. The event is being planned to celebrate National Health & Fitness Day, and everyone from all age groups is eligible.
Beginning at 11:00, the West surface will be offering family basketball, while the East surface will host drop-in tennis. Yoga will be offered in the studio from 11:30 to 12:30.
Family basketball will give way to wheelchair basketball on the West surface at noon. Also at 12:00, the oval will have a drop-in Boots Scoots & Boards session. Pickleball will go on the East surface from 1:30 to 3:30.
At 2:00, Youth basketball will go for an hour on the West side before an adult basketball drop-in continues until 5:00 P.M. A second yoga session goes from 2 to 3 in the studio, while the oval will be hosting a Rollerblade Lap Skate from 3:00 to 6:00. The east surface has badminton from 4:00 until close at 6.
