PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – One person has been injured and five other arrested after an early morning shooting in Prince George.
This morning at approximately 12:20 AM, the Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a shooting at a home on Gould Crescent, off Ospika Boulevard in Prince George.
Officers immediately attended the scene where five suspects were arrested at the residence. A 26 year-old man was transported to hospital where he was treated for a non-life threatening injury that police say was not a gunshot wound. It is believed that this was a home invasion, and that more than one person involved fled the area prior to police arrival.
The Prince George RCMP’s Major Crime Section, Forensic Identification Section and Police Dog Service Section are assisting with the investigation, as well the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of BC.
Police say they are concerned about the recent incidents that have taken place within a relatively small area of Prince George. The shooting this morning is the third targeted shooting in the past three weeks.
