One person arrested after police incident on the weekend

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – One person was taken into custody after an incident near the Christian Life Centre over the weekend.

On Saturday shortly after 3:00, the Fort St. John RCMP were called to a townhouse near the corner of 112th Ave and 92nd Street. At least five police vehicles from the Fort St. John RCMP were at the scene investigating what Cst. Nancy Saggar called “a very isolated incident” with guns drawn. In addition to police, the BC Ambulance Service also responded to the incident, along with the Fort St. John Fire Department. By 3:30 pm, most of the RCMP and fire crews were seen packing up and leaving, with only three police vehicles staying at the scene.

Saggar says that one person was arrested at the scene, however she was not able to provide any more details due to privacy laws.
