FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Minor Baseball’s Bantam/Midget team had a bit of a close call this past weekend.

The Black Sox played at Kin Park on Friday night against Dawson Creek. Things weren’t looking good for the team, which trailed against Dawson to start the game. However, the Black Sox rallied back in the 6th inning, eventually finishing the comeback to win the game 13-12.

The Pee Wee Black Sox weren’t able to enjoy the same success as their older cohorts against Dawson Creek on Saturday, as their double-header was rained out. The Pee Wees will be heading to Dawson this coming Sunday for a pair of games.

On Monday night, eight of the Major teams were in action. Re/Max kept a hold of first place in the division with a 9-1 win against Cecil Lake. TCL stayed in 2nd place with a 5-and-2 record after winning their game against Strad Energy Services 13-6. Pimm’s Production beat World Gym 10-7, while Baron Oilfield bested Ernie’s Sports in a close 7-6 ball game.
