No Injuries After Shots Fired In Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Luckily no one was injured after shots were fired in Prince George over the weekend.

On Friday June 10th at around 5:40 pm, Prince George RCMP responded to multiple reports of shots fired on the 700 block of Freeman Street.

Police immediately went to the area and confirmed a shooting had taken place and identified a residence where the shooting happened.

3 people exited the residence without incident and were detained as part of the investigation.  No one else was located and it appears no one was injured. One bullet did break a neighbor’s window and narrowly missed the people inside, two adults and two children.

A search warrant was then obtained for the home. Officers believe this was a targeted shooting.

Police say many people attended the residence armed with guns and began shooting. One man, a 25 year old Prince George resident who is known to police, is in custody and will be appearing in Provincial court today facing multiple charges.  Police also located illicit drugs, cash and evidence of drug trafficking.

Prince George RCMP are reminding the public that drug wars are severely dangerous and they have no regard for the public. Police are asking anyone with information about this incident, or any other incident, to notify police before someone gets hurt.
