FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John Rotary Club has announced that their 2016 Mother’s Day Walk and Run will be happening, albeit at a later date.
Back on May 6th, event organisers announced that they would postpone the walk, which was scheduled for Mother’s Day, May 14th due to the wildfire situation that had escalated at the time, as well as the decrease in air quality.
The rescheduled event is set to take place at Surerus Fields on Sunday, August 21st. Proceeds from the event go towards the Fort St. John Women’s Resource Centre. Anyone who has registered will automatically have their registration carry forward to the event. Anyone who is not able to attend the event on August 21st can request a refund from the Rotary Club, either by phone at: (250) 785-1972, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with the refund request in the subject line. The entry fees of those who aren’t able to attend and who do not request a refund will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre.
