FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Christy Clark says the Site C dam project is on a budget and a time promise to complete the project.
Speaking yesterday in Dawson Creek after touring the flood damage, Clark reiterated the fact that the project is time sensitive.
“They are on a very tight timeline. They want to make sure that they fit it all in in the timelines so we don’t go over time, we don’t go over budget and we make sure we protect the biodiversity up there”.
Construction started in the summer of 2015 and project is scheduled to be completed in 2024.
The project received the environmental approvals from both the provincial and federal governments in October of 2014. They then received the approval from the province in BC in December 2014.
