FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The North Peace Cultural Centre and the Arts Community in Fort St. John are teaming up to host the 2nd Annual Bright Nights in June on Friday, June 24th.
The Bright Nights Gala is where the event starts. It showcases local artists as well as local performers. The goal of the event according to the release is to showcase talents and what the Cultural Centre represents.
The evening features wine, beer, sparkling cider and d’oeuvres. There is also a silent auction with items from local artists on display. There is also a raffle this year at the event and the main performance of the night will showcase local talent in piano, dance, music, and collaborations between local art groups.The performance takes place at 7:30 pm with Beer and Wine and Cider starting at 6:30 pm.
Local artwork will also be on display and a permanent piece of artwork will be revealed at the intermission.
Saturday, June 25th will see the NPCC open house take place. From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, there will be FREE art classes, dance classes, projects, and local arts group informational booths.
