FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Northern Health has issued the following information on hospitals and clinics regarding the flooding throughout the North Peace.
At this time, the Chetwynd clinic is closed due to the washout of the road to the clinic. Northern Health is in the process of moving urgent services to the hospital. Patients who had appointments will be contacted to be rebooked or directed to the hospital. The phone number for the Chetwynd clinic (250-788-7300) has been forwarded to the hospital. Northern Health is asking the public in Chetwynd to use the hospital for emergencies only.
The Dawson Creek Hospital remains open and operational but flooding has impacted staffing. Northern Health is asking the public in Dawson Creek to use the hospital for emergencies only.<
At this time, no health service concerns have been reported in Fort St. John.
