15th annual Northern Classic happening Saturday at the NPCC

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Over 100 competitors with buns of steel are set to take the stage at the North Peace Cultural Centre on Saturday for the 15th Annual Northern Classic bodybuilding and fitness competition.

The event will see contestants competing for a chance to head to Vancouver for the BC Amateur Bodybuilding Association provincial championships in three weeks’ time. Jeni Briscoe from Today’s Techniques, which puts on the contest, says that the contest has the most number of registered competitors in its 15-year history this year. IFBB Pros Toney Freeman and Michelle McBeth will be guest-hosting the main show and contest judging, which takes place at 6:00 PM.

Briscoe says that tickets are still available for both shows as of 12:30 PM on Friday, although there were only several tickets left for the evening show. Tickets are $32.50 for the morning show, and $57.50 for the evening main event, and are available at Today’s Techniques in Fort St. John.
