UPDATE: As of 8 p.m. Wednesday, Highway 97 remains closed between MacKenzie and Chetwynd. According to DriveBC.ca, there are several failures along the highway. The next update will from DriveBC.ca about the condition of the highway will be released at 8:30 a.m. Thursday. There is no indication on when the highway will re-open at this time.

Highway 97 Both directions
Closed in both directions from Junction with Highway 39, south of MacKenzie to Junction with Highway 29, in Chetwynd (147.8 km) because of Flooding. Closed because of failures in several locations . Next update at 0830. Updated on Wed Jun 15 at 8:01 pm PDT. (ID# 220234)

 

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Highway 97 is closed between MacKenzie to Junction with Highway 29, in Chetwynd.

The road is closed in both directions for assessment and possible failures in several locations.
