Woman dead after being pinned between two vehicles

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St. John RCMP is investigating a fatal motor vehicle incident.

At noon on May 7, the Fort St John RCMP received several reports of a motor vehicle incident where a young lady had been seriously injured.

Officers attended to the 8200 block of 96th Ave where they were advised that a 21-year-old woman had tried to stop a vehicle from rolling backwards out of a driveway. The vehicle entered the street and pinned the lady against another vehicle which resulted in a serious head injury.

The woman was transported to local hospital where shortly thereafter she succumbed to her injuries.

Since it is still very early in this investigation, no further information can be provided.
