Voluntary evacuation alert lifted for Clear Hills County

CLEAR HILLS, A.B. – The Alberta Government has lifted the Voluntary Evacuation Alert for Clear Hills County.

The alert has been lifted due to snow that fell on the fire overnight.  An evacuation preparedness alert remains in place for areas north of Highway 64 and west of secondary Highway 726 in Clear Hills County.

At this time all the evacuation alerts and orders remain in place in B.C.

The Siphon Creek fire was last reported to be 41,000 hectares in size with 12,000 of that in Alberta.
