FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The School District Board Of Trustees has announced they will keep the $100 busing registration fee for the 2016-2017 school year.

The fee is for families that have district students that use the transportation system to get to school.

The Board says this will not cover the shortfall, but that reserve contingency funds will be used to make up the difference.

The Board also says that this is a short-term solution and the contingency funds will eventually be depleted.

Bus runs will be set up to maximize efficiency and lower costs. Door-to-door service will not be available, however every attempt will be made to students needs as best as possible.
