FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – No news, is good news. The Beatton Road Airport fire did not have any dangerous advancements yesterday. Which is good news for those fighting the fires and evacuated from homes.
The B.C. Wildfire Service says the fire is still at 45% containment and covers 15,000 hectares.
With rain in the forecast, crews will look to take advantage of the cooler weather and reduce the fire threat.
The B.C. wildfire service did say that the fire moved over some control lines but did not increase the size of the fire itself.
