FSJ Lacrosse Teams Have Success On The Road In Vanderhoof

VANDERHOOF, B.C. – Four teams from the Fort St. John Minor Lacrosse Association were in Vanderhoof over the weekend in their fourth weekend of interleague action.

The Fort St. John Novice Thunder played a pair of games, losing their first game vs. the combined Vanderhoof/Mackenzie team 15-4 before bouncing back against Quesnel on Sunday, winning 18-8.

The Pee Wee squad also went 1-and-1 on the weekend, dropping their first game on Saturday against Prince George 22-2, then rallying for a win over the Van/Mac Pee Wee team 10-2.

The combined Fort St. John/Mackenzie Bantam team went 0-for-2 this weekend, getting doubled in Saturday’s game against Prince George 6-3, and also scoring 3 goals on Sunday in a 7-3 loss to Vanderhoof.

Sunday was also the day for the Midget squad who lost their first game of the weekend on Saturday to Van/Mac 6-2, before coming back out on Sunday to win a thrilling game against PG with the final score of 7-5.

The teams are next in action this coming weekend, when they head to the Kin Centre in Prince George.
