Fort St. John RCMP Looking For Arson Suspect After Trees Set Ablaze

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Fort St John RCMP are investigating a report of a fire being set to a tree on a residential property at the intersection of 92nd St and 102nd Ave.

Police were called to the scene at about 8:30 pm on Monday night where they discovered that the suspect tried to light several trees on fire in the front yard of a residence before leaving on foot. One of the large trees caught fire and had to be put out by fire crews.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male of small stature with a thin build. He was wearing a dark colored hoodie and at the time was carrying a jerry can. The police are currently looking for any information regarding the suspect who fled the scene prior to police arrival.
