Emergency Social Services extended for evacuees

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – With wildfires still ablaze in the Peace Region, the Emergency Social Services have been extended for those who have evacuated.

The extended support is for those in Electoral Area B of the Peace Region District and Blueberry River First Nations.

The Reception Centre will be open from 7:00 a.m. to midnight everyday until May 21st 2016 or until the Evacuation Order is cancelled.

People who are already receiving Emergency Social Services Support must bring their copy of the yellow registration slip as well as referral forms to the Reception Centre between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on May 18th 2016 to have your support extended.

If you have not registered with Social Services Support, they are asking that you wait until after 3:00 p.m. to register.
