DAWSON CREEK, B.C. – The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 2403, which represents Dawson Creek city workers, has reached a new collective agreement with the city which is in effect until December 31, 2019.
The agreement calls for a 1.75% wage increase in both 2016 and 2017, followed by a 2.0% increase in 2018 and 2019. New language to align the use of family leave with the employment standards act was also included.
The announcement comes in the wake of news back in January that nine of the Village of Pouce Coupe’s workers joined CUPE Local 2403, which also represents staff that work for the Peace River Regional District.
