Abbotsford man killed in Grande Prairie Parking Lot

Grande Prairie, A.B. – A 35 year-old man from Abbotsford is dead after he was allegedly attacked in the parking lot of Home Hardware in Grande Prairie.
Saturday at 12:55 p.m., Grande Prairie RCMP were dispatched to a complaint of a traffic collision and possible assault in the parking lot of the Home Hardware.  A male exited the store and confronted a male who was interfering with his vehicle. During the confrontation, the vehicle owner attempted to apprehend the suspect as he attempted to flee in another vehicle.  As a result the vehicle owner was severely injured, resulting in him being airlifted to a hospital in Edmonton where he succumbed to his injuries.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday May 17, 2016 at 12:00 P.M.
