GRANDE PRAIRIE, A.B. – The Grande Prairie Stompede took place at Evergreen Park in the Swan City this past weekend.
Luke Butterfield from Ponoka, AB took first place in the Saddle Bronc with a score of 85.5, while the Novice Saddle Bronc winner was Hudson’s Hope’s Ricky Warren, who scored a 79.0.
Regina resident Ty Taypotat defended his Stompede title in Bareback with a score of 86.5 to clinch first. Novice Bareback was also won by a fellow Saskatchewanite: Lane Link from Maple Creek took home first place with a score of 79.00.
Jordan Hansen from Calgary came first in Bull Riding with a score of 84.5, and Cody Cassidy of Donalda, AB won the Steer Wrestling with a sparkling time of 3.9 seconds.
Cranna Roberts from Lacombe, AB took first ahead of 3 BC ladies in Barrel Racing.
