FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – Large crowds were present on Saturday afternoon for the first day of the Fort St. John Community Arts Council’s Artwalk 2016.

Sue Popesku with the Arts Council told that 28 artists’ work is being featured in 26 businesses in the city, most of which are located in the downtown area near the corner of 100th and 100th. Popesku says that the Artwalk is a showcase not only of some of the talent artists in the city, some of whom have not had their artwork put on display before, but also to showcase some of the city’s local businesses.

The program is also being held in conjunction with the Performing Arts BC Festival happening in Fort St. John May 31st – June 4th.Artwalk 2016 is going on now until July 16th. A map of the participating artists and businesses can be found here: artwalk_2016-web
