FORT ST. JOHN – In the week since the Fort McMurray Wildfire forced over 80,000 from their homes, Fort St. John area residents have provided evacuees with an overwhelming amount of donations.
Speaking with Energeticcity.ca this morning, Samantha Warren with St. John Advertising explained that a larger trailer needed to be exchanged on Saturday in order to transport all of the donations to those affected by the fire.
Revolution Honda’s Sean Wilson, who is also taking donations, says that as of noon Monday, between four and five pickup truckloads of donations await transportation to Alberta, in addition to the five to six loads that have already been sent.
Mitch Collins with Century 21 Real Estate in Fort St. John is offering free housing for Fort McMurray residents displaced by the fire.
