UPDATE: The evacuation order for the Beatton Airport Road fire has been lifted. Residents can now return home. That area is now under an evacuation alert, meaning residents can go home, but need to be prepared to leave if the fire situation changes. The evacuation alert for Charlie Lake, Rose Prairie and Montney has also been lifted.



FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Province of B.C. has approved an extension to provide further support for residents evacuated from their homes.

The Province has approved support for another 72 hours for anyone evacuated from their home in Electoral Area B of the Peace River Regional District and the Blueberry River First Nations.

The Reception Centre will continue to be open 24 hours until at least Monday May 9th, 2016.

Individuals currently receiving Emergency Social Services support must bring their copy of the yellow registration and referral forms to the Reception Center after 9:00am, but prior to 8:00pm, on Sunday, May 8, 2016, in order to ensure their referrals are extended.

Please bring your Yellow Emergency Social Services paperwork with you. Individuals who have not registered and require Emergency Social Services support, please wait until after 3:00pm to come to the Reception Centre.
