FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — The Mayor of Fort St. John has made a statement on the wildfire situation in the Peace, and the precaution measures the City has taken.
‘We have a plan in place, and we don’t need it yet,” says Mayor Lori Ackerman.
Mayor Ackerman recommends looking at the regional district’s website, or the City’s Facebook page for updates. She also recommends that residents who are concerned stay prepared for any potential evacuation by keeping their vehicle’s gas tank full, keep their ‘grab and go’ bag ready.
“Stay safe, stay informed. We’ve got your back,” she concluded.
