Three men charged after assault in Dawson Creek home

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — Just shortly after midnight on April 22, the RCMP received a complaint that a house had been broken into in the 1100 block of 117th Ave in Dawson Creek. The police was also informed that a man had been attacked inside the house.

Officers immediately attended the house in question, while others began patrolling the area.

Mounties then found and arrested three suspects in a nearby park.

26-year-old Brandon Roy Horne, 21-year-old Cody Lee Housego and 19-year-old Riley Madill have been charged with assault causing bodily harm, break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, mischief under $5,000 and assault with a weapon. They have appeared in court since then.

Horne and Madil were released on a recognizance on Monday, while Housego is still in custody with his next scheduled court appearance on May 3.

Although the victim needed medical attention for his injuries, he has since been released from hospital.
