TOWER LAKE, B.C. — The Peace River Regional District is hosting a public meeting tonight at the Tower Lake Community Hall, to provide about a proposal that would allow for wind turbine construction.

The meeting is for residents who believe their property could be affected by the regional district’s proposed Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 2224, 2015 — which proposes to rezone 1,033 hectares, by adding a text amendment within the ‘Large Agricultural Holdings Zone.’

This move would allow the construction and operation of those wind turbines, with an estimated footprint of 4.5 hectares.

Relevant documents can be seen at the Regional District’s main office in Dawson Creek, from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m.
