One mobile home lost in Siphon Creek fire

All the fires in the region, according to the BC Wildfire Service.

DAWSON CREEK, B.C. — The PRRD’s Chief Administrative Officer Chris Cvik has confirmed that there was one structure loss due to fire in Siphon Creek, near Doig River.

A mobile home was lost, though it was unoccupied at the time.

Fire Information Officer Amanda Reynolds has confirmed some more structures that were lost in the fires, including two in the South Taylor Hill fires.

Reynolds says one was an unoccupied home that seemed to be abandoned, and the other was a primary residence. And, in Kelly Lake, an abandoned/unoccupied cabin was lost.

In Charlie Lake, Acting Fire Chief Dale Widsten confirmed that some structures that were barns and outbuildings were lost, but no homes.

No confirmation has come in about Baldonnel structure losses. No homes or structures in Hudson’s Hope are at risk at this time.
