Items stolen from WL Construction’s yard

FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — While being housed as residents all over the Peace Region evacuate their homes, sleds, quads and a truck were allegedly stolen from WL Construction on Tuesday night.

According to a family friend who spoke to Energeticcity.ca, video surveillance showed someone breaking in and stealing an apprentice’s truck as well as her friends two sleds and two quads around 305 a.m. The footage showed someone going through their trailer, too, but that was not stolen.

“These guys have three kids, they worked so hard for that stuff,” said Jolene Mackay.

The victims weren’t on evacuation alert yet, but they were expecting to be packing up and leaving their home soon. According to Mackay, they thought they were going to be losing their home.

“You see some of the greatest things people will do, and some of the worst.”

The possessions that were stolen, among others, are as follows:

  • 2009 Polaris Dragon 800, sled with white hood
  • 2003 Polaris RMK 800, sled with blue hood
  • 2012 Polaris 500, green quad with a black two up seat and camo magnetic fender bags.
  • 2008 Kawasaki Brute Force 750, blue quad
