FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. – The Peace River Regional District has issued an evacuation alert for residents in the area of the Beatton Airport Road Forest Fire.
As of 9 p.m. Tuesday, the Peace River Regional District has issued an Evacuation Alert for the following area of the Beatton Airport Road in Electoral Area B:
From 12501 Highway 97N south to the intersection at 258 Road, East to the intersection of 283 Road, North 6.5 km continuing Northwest 9 km to the Beatton Airport Road, West to 14962 PDR 204 back to 12501 at Highway 97N.

An Evacuation Alert has been issued to prepare you to evacuate your premises or property should it be found necessary. Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation; however you may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
The Beatton Airport Road Fire has grown to over 4,500 hectares in size.
