FORT ST. JOHN, B.C. — Unofficially, the Fort St. John Liquor Distribution Branch store has run its string of Share-a-bear sales campaign victories to fourteen.

However, manager Shannon Mckay confirms the local branch only claimed the 2015 title after the continuation of what has now developed into a close and healthy annual Yule Tide period competition with the store in Dawson Creek.

In fact it took an extra order of ten cases and sales topping the Fort St. John store’s goal of 2,400 to secure the most recent victory.

The final local branch sales total was 2,546, and the Dawson Creek Branch was a close second at 2,470.

Each of those two totals more than doubled the next highest one, posted by the Prince George Pine Centre outlet, at 1,091.

In recent years, there have been reports that the local donation supply exceeds the demand, but Shannon says that critique fails to recognize that many of the organizational beneficiaries are year round recipients.

And, speaking of next year:

Any good Guide or Outfitter will tell you:don’t challenge a Mamma Bear, especially when she’s protecting her cubs.
