Large power outages near Fort St. John and in Tumbler Ridge

Two large power outages have over 1,100 customers in Northeast B.C. without power.

Approximately 394 customers are without power in the Halfway River area and over to Prespatou.  The power went off shortly after 9 p.m. Friday.  The cause of the outage is still under investigation and at this time it is unknown when the power will be restored.

The second and larger outage is in the Tumbler Ridge area.  Approximately 770 customers are without power in the Tumbler Ridge area.  Power went out at approximately 9:30 p.m.  The cause is still unknown at this time and crews are still working to determine when power can be restored.
