Dip recalled from store shelves due to Listeria concerns

OTTAWA — A brand of dip is being recalled due to possible contamination from Listeria.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says Summer Fresh Salads Inc. of Woodbridge, Ont., is recalling Summer Fresh brand 4 Cheese and Crab Dip.

The product is sold in a 227 gram container with a best-before date of Oct. 30.

The CFIA says there have been no reported illnesses associated with eating this dip, which is sold across the country.

Food contaminated with Listeria may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick.

Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.
