Canadian women’s volleyball team book spot for Olympic qualifier

The Canadian women’s volleyball team along with Dana Cranston have earned themselves a spot in the NORCECA Olympic Qualifier. After guaranteeing themselves at least a fourth place finish with a win yesterday over Mexico, the team will now take on the Dominican Republic in the semifinals of the NORCECA Continental Championship today.

Canada defeated Mexico 3-2 by scores of 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, 21-25, and 15-8.

Cranston led the team in scoring in the game with 16 points.

The team has a 3-1 record leading up to today’s semifinal game, their only loss coming to the United States.
