Yesterday morning around 10 AM, Grande Prairie RCMP responded to reports of a hold up at the Avondale Convenience Store.

Police describe their suspect as a roughly 30-year-old Caucasian man, who is ‘tall and slender.’ He appears to have a prominent scar on his right cheek.

He was wearing a grey toque, black hooded sweater with white bones in the shape of an X along the left sleeve, and white brass knuckles along the right sleeve, blue vest over the sweater, blue jeans, work boots, gloves, and dark sunglasses.

The suspect entered the store with his face covered and walked behind the cashier desk, demanding money with a knife.

He then grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, and left the scene.

Nobody was injured during the incident.
