Dawson Creek RCMP responded to 202 calls for service during the week of October 4th to 10th 2015. Included in the calls for service were 24 driving complaints, 3 impaired investigations, 10 motor vehicle collisions, 7 thefts, 2 break and enters, and 21 suspicious person / vehicle complaints.

During the week, Dawson Creek responded to 6 vehicle thefts in the area. Of the six thefts, three vehicles have been returned. Outstanding are a Black 2009 GMC Sierra that had been parked in the Borek Construction lot with a BC licence plate of EW 1939. Also outstanding is a 1995 Nash travel trailer that had been stolen from BOE’s RV lot. Police believe that the trailer and another stolen vehicle had fled from the Fort St. John RCMP on the 5th. Also outstanding is a 2001 GMC Safari that was not considered roadworthy. Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating these vehicles. On October 9th, 2015, Dawson Creek officers located and arrested 34-year-old James Alan WEBB on two outstanding warrants. Police had been actively seeking WEBB in relation to a number of break and enters in the Dawson Creek area. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop of a vehicle where WEBB was a passenger. Upon the stop of the vehicle WEBB fled on foot, ran through yards and stole a bike before being safely apprehended. Police have recommended a number of additional charges against WEBB in relation to a number of break and enters and failing to comply with his conditions.
