Rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm are expected as a frontal system stalls over the northern BC Peace River today and tonight. The heavy rain will taper off Thursday morning as the system moves to the south and weakens.
Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Rainfall Warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected.
Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
