The Environmental Assessment Office is inviting members of the public to an open house for Plateau Pipeline’s proposed transmission pipeline, which would run from North of Wonowon to Taylor – where it would meet with an existing terminal.

The open house itself will be hosted at the Pomeroy Hotel on Wednesday, October 21st – from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Public comments will also be accepted for about a month through the EAO, from October 6th until November 4th. Comments can be sent online, by mail to Project Assessment Manager Ricardo Toledo, or by fax. (250-387-2208)

Comments accepted during that period will be studied in relation to the outlined Valued Components, which are “aspects of the natural and human environment that have social, cultural, historical, ecological, scientific, economic or other importance to society that will be studied as part of the environmental assessment, and the areas within which the studies would occur.”

A list of the Valued Components will also be available during the time that comments are accepted at the Fort St. John public library, and at the open house on the 21st.
