Fort St. John alum Dennis Robertson has been traded for a second time since being drafted into the NHL in 2011. The former Carolina Hurricanes prospect is now a member of the Chicago Blackhawks organization following a four player swap involving Kris Versteeg.
Robertson has one full pro season under his belt after playing with the Charlotte Checkers last year of the American Hockey League. He tallied three goals and 14 assists in 57 games.
He was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs 173rd overall in the 2011 draft and was traded to Carolina on January 1, 2014.
The trade in full sends Kris Versteeg, Joakim Nordstrom, and a third round pick in 2017 to the Hurricanes in exchange for Robertson, Jake Massie and a fifth round selection in 2017.
