Mini music festival to take place in support of Peace River

A mini music festival titled Party for the Peace will be taking place on August 29 near Taylor to “raise awareness about the Peace River Valley and the Site C dam that threatens it.” In all four musical acts will be performing including Twin Peaks.

Also performing will be Black Spruce Bog, Geoff Berner, and Miss Quincy.

As part of the entertainment Twin Peaks and Miss Quincy will be collaborating on a live recording of new songs inspired by the Peace River. The act will be documented by a film crew.

Tickets are being sold for $35, and can be purchased by clicking here. A portion of the proceeds will be going towards Treaty 8 First Nations for their court challenges against the project.
